SYDNEY, Australia — Velvet Trip has signed an exclusive global publishing agreement with BMG. Velvet Trip is the dreamy psychedelic pop project of Zeppelin Hamilton, singer-songwriter and producer from the Wiradjuri community, an act with two appearances on the ARIA Albums Chart, quality live shows and a growing fanbase.
The BMG agreement comes after a year of strong results for Velvet Trip. In February, the band received an APRA Professional Development Award in recognition of their creative achievements and future potential, and achieved a Top 40 position on the ARIA chart with Glimmers Continued, their second album. Glimmers Continued received Featured Album treatment on triple j and debuted at number 33 on the all-genres ARIA Chart and number 5 on the Australian Artists Albums chart. Velvet Trip's debut LP, Harmony Blooms, reached number 19 in 2024.
Last year, the band won a place as one of the winners of the triple j Unearthed x NIDA competition, securing a music video for "Burnin' Up" created by directors and designers who are NIDA students. Velvet Trip finished 2025 as the most-streamed artist on the triple j Unearthed platform.
"I feel honoured to work alongside BMG's incredible team worldwide," Hamilton said. "I've been a huge admirer of their artist roster for many years, so it's surreal right now to be partnering with them and to be considered alongside the world-class artists they represent." The financial terms of the BMG agreement were not disclosed.
Hamilton is earning a reputation as an essential live artist, selling out shows at the Utzon Room at Sydney Opera House and the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne. Along the way, the rising artist has opened for Djo, Parcels, Ocean Alley and Middle Kids, and has performed at major festivals including Bluesfest, Yours & Owls, triple j One Night Stand, Party In The Paddock and the National Indigenous Music Awards. Beyond his studio and stage work, Hamilton serves as official ambassador for the Australian Music Venue Foundation and MusicNSW.

Velvet Trip joins BMG's publishing roster which includes Australian and New Zealand creatives such as Neil Finn, Young Franco, KLP, Jet, Keli Holiday, The Cat Empire, What So Not, Ladyhawke, Bag Raiders, among others.
