Chocó continues to receive aid as its communities begin reconstruction tasks amid the rubble left by the earthquake. President Abelardo De La Espriella visited the region to coordinate recovery efforts in a department that requires comprehensive assistance.

Educational infrastructure suffered severe damage. The largest school in Chocó remains closed, with classrooms destroyed and desks among the rubble of buildings damaged by the earthquake.

Authorities are seeking to design a reconstruction strategy that combines external aid with the preservation of regional autonomy in defining priorities and resources for Chocó.
