A Florida man won a $358,104 prize in the lottery during a visit to Michigan and said he will use the prize money to relocate to the northern state.

The 75-year-old man told Michigan Lottery players that he and his wife were visiting family in Michigan when he purchased his Fantasy 5 ticket at a Wesco petrol station on Colby Road in Whitehall, approximately 20 miles northwest of Muskegon. "My wife and I come to Michigan frequently because that's where our family is, so every time we're here, I play my Fantasy 5 numbers again," the player said.

His ticket for the drawing on 24 June had the numbers 03-12-17-23-27. "After the drawing that night, I checked my ticket by scanning it in the Michigan Lottery app. When I saw how much I had won, I shouted to my wife: 'We just won the lottery!' and we both started crying. We stayed awake the rest of the night because we were both too excited to sleep," the winner said.

The winner said the prize money will allow him to pay off some bills and buy a house in Michigan. "Winning is life-changing. This money will allow us to move closer to family and be debt-free," he added.
