A fugitive calf nicknamed "Moodini" by authorities triggered a chase in a Walmart car park and in a drainage tunnel in San Antonio. The San Antonio City Animal Care Department stated that officers responded alongside police on Tuesday when the calf was spotted wandering near a Walmart store on Southeast Military Drive.
The calf entered the store's car park and even approached the main entrance before authorities arrived and chased the animal towards a nearby green area. However, before the young calf could be captured, it "quickly went underground into a large drainage tunnel", the department said in a press statement.
Moodini travelled a short distance inside the tunnel before stopping to rest and being guided by the Animal Care Department towards a livestock trailer waiting for it. Authorities said they do not know where the calf came from and are trying to identify its owner.
