The Guardian is inviting readers to share recommendations for breaks in lesser-known European cities and towns. The publication noted that Europe's most famous destinations often experience overtourism during peak times of year.

Submissions should include details of hotels, museums, clubs, restaurants and cafes visited during trips to less well-known locations. Readers are asked to share tips on places ranging from Renaissance architecture to half-timbered town centres.

Tom Hall of Lonely Planet will select the best submission each week, which will receive a £200 voucher toward a Coolstays property. Coolstays operates more than 3,000 properties worldwide. Selected tips will be published in the Guardian Travel section and on its website.
