In fashion, the debate around shades of yellow has recently centred on two main colours: butter yellow and lemon yellow. For Hailey Bieber, there is no question about which should prevail.
A year ago, the Rhode founder declared that soft butter yellow was "out of date", betting on its brighter cousin. Since then, she has remained true to her word.
During a night out at Sushi Park restaurant in Los Angeles, Bieber wore a bright lemon yellow vintage Dolce & Gabbana top. The garment, designed in 2002, features fine spaghetti straps, white lace details and a silk body that enhances its intense yellow tone. She paired it with navy blue flared trousers, open-toe sandals and Y2K-inspired accessories, including a zigzag headband, small sunglasses and wired headphones.
In July 2025, the beauty entrepreneur was promoting the new Lemontini shade of her popular Peptide Lip Tint when she had to clarify confusion among her customers. Some questioned why the packaging did not match the butter yellow dominating social media. "Stop asking me why it is not butter yellow", Bieber wrote. "It is not butter yellow because it is LEMON. And butter yellow is out... with respect".
