Rafael Jódar and Alejandro Tabilo will face each other in the third round of the 2026 Cincinnati Masters 1000. The match will be the third head-to-head between the Madrid native and the Chilean this year, just two weeks after their semi-final clash at the Washington Tournament.

Jódar advanced in Cincinnati after defeating Denis Shapovalov in the second round. The Spaniard came back from 1-5 down in the decisive set and saved two match points to clinch his victory 7-5, 4-6 and 7-5. Tabilo, meanwhile, eliminated German Jan-Lennard Struff with a convincing 6-3 and 6-4.

In their record this season, both players have faced each other on hard court on two occasions. Tabilo took the first meeting at Indian Wells, while Jódar levelled the head-to-head in Washington by coming back to win 6-7(6), 6-4 and 6-4.

The Jódar-Tabilo match is scheduled for Monday 17 August, although the time will still be confirmed by the organisers. The match can be watched through Movistar+.
