Last Friday, Justin Trudeau posted a carousel of photos on Instagram showing how he spent the summer. The post included an image of his girlfriend, pop star Katy Perry, along with other highlights from the season.
In the photo with Perry, the former Canadian Prime Minister is wearing a white t-shirt and holding a beer, while Perry is wearing a white halter top and also holding a drink. Both are smiling at the camera in the image. In the caption, Trudeau wrote: "Grateful for the moments that made this summer so special, and for the people I got to share them with".
Other photos in the post show Trudeau with his children, at special events, and in an image with Barack and Michelle Obama. Perry and Trudeau have been together for just over a year, after they were first linked in July 2025 when they were seen dining together in Montreal during Perry's concert tour. Since then they have made their relationship official on Instagram and have walked together on several red carpets.
Perry premiered her concert film "Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour" this year at the Tribeca Festival. In an interview with People, the singer said: "I feel like a more centred person in many aspects of my life. I'm very in love. And, in fact, that show was after meeting the love of my life, so I felt very grounded by that, because I'm kind of like a rainbow kite". Perry was previously in a relationship with actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares her daughter Daisy.
