Algerian authorities announced the arrest of 25 drug traffickers after seizing 10.4 million psychotropic tablets in an operation that lasted more than seven months.
Algeria's General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced on Thursday the seizure of a record 10.4 million psychotropic tablets following more than seven months of investigation. The authorities identified 25 drug traffickers arrested in the operation.
According to the authorities, Algeria faces a "real war" waged by drug barons, who are attempting to flood the country with significant quantities of psychotropic substances.
