Algerian customs authorities seized €12,000 from a passenger arriving from Lyon at Sétif airport, according to reports on Monday, 17 August. The money was "discovered during a body search of the passenger", according to a statement from Algerian customs.

The passenger had not declared the amount of foreign currency she was carrying, in what constitutes another case of currency seizure for undeclared funds at an Algerian airport.
