Dr. Ibrahim Sabir, Governor of Cairo, presided over a job fair organised by the governorate in collaboration with a company specialising in petroleum product marketing, held at the headquarters of the Railway Club. The event forms part of the governorate's continued efforts to support young people, create new job opportunities and connect them directly with the needs of the labour market.

The fair included the participation of Engineer Ashraf Mansour, Vice Governor of the Southern Zone; Engineer Mona El-Batarawi, Vice Governor of the Eastern Zone; Dr. Ahmad Anwar Ateya, Vice Governor of the Western Zone; Dr. Muhammad Jumaa, President of "Emirates Egypt" company; and Dr. Hemat Abu Keila, Director of the Cairo Education Directorate, in addition to other executive leaders of the governorate.

The fair aims to provide approximately 400 job opportunities for young people aged between 18 and 40 years at 15 petrol stations in Cairo and its surroundings. The positions include salaries not less than the state minimum wage, monetary and in-kind benefits, transport, promotion opportunities and social security protection and healthcare.

The Governor emphasised the governorate's commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at empowering young people and providing appropriate job opportunities, particularly for students and graduates of technical education and universities. He noted that job fairs constitute an essential link between young people seeking work and companies requiring qualified personnel.

The fair saw wide participation from students of Egyptian technical schools and universities, including Al-Azhar University and Workers' University, who had the opportunity to learn about the available positions firsthand, conduct personal interviews and familiarise themselves with the competencies and requirements of the current labour market.
