The EFSA Panel on Food Contact Materials evaluated the safety of 1,3‐benzenedicarboxamide, 5‐[[[cis‐4‐(1,1‐dimethylethylcyclohexyl]carbonyl]amino]‐N1,N3‐bis[cis‐4‐(1‐methylethylcyclohexyl]‐, for use as a clarifying agent in polypropylene at a concentration of up to 0.08% by weight.

The final articles are intended for contact with all types of foodstuffs, except foods containing more than 10% ethanol, infant formulae, or mineral water intended for the reconstitution of infant formulae. The materials will be used for long-term storage at room temperature and below, including hot-fill and heating conditions.
