Egypt's Ministry of Wakf continues with its outreach, education and awareness efforts through its "Correct Your Concepts" initiative, by holding 625 seminars in border governorates under the title "Voluntary work and its importance for the individual and society". The seminars will take place on Monday, 17 August 2026, after the evening prayer.
The seminars will be held in the Red Sea, South Sinai, New Valley, Matrouh, North Sinai and Suez governorates. According to the ministry, these initiatives will help raise awareness of the importance of voluntary work and its role in promoting the spirit of cooperation, solidarity and community service.
The seminars are part of the Ministry of Wakf's strategy focused on combating terrorism and extremism, as well as various forms of ideological extremism and non-religious extremism represented by the decay of values and morality. The ministry also seeks to restore and build Egyptian national identity from a religious perspective and advance civilisation.
The seminars will address the importance of voluntary work in the life of the individual and society, its role in developing the spirit of initiative and generosity, strengthening community responsibility, and promoting values of solidarity and cooperation that reflect Islam's tolerance and its commitment to achieving the common good.
