This is compounded by sun exposure, which causes dehydration, spots, wrinkles and sagging.
Hydrafacial offers a protocol designed by Dr. Paul Nassif, a plastic surgeon from Beverly Hills, that combines exfoliation with 7.5% glycolic acid and 2% salicylic acid, followed by a booster with high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, N-Acetylglucosamine, beta-glucan and seaweed extract. The treatment culminates with red LED light. Results are immediate and four sessions are recommended. The price ranges between 180 and 199 euros per session.
Indiba recently launched Reverso, a technology that combines fractional ablative radiofrequency with microneedling. Its diagonal microneedles of 1 to 2 millimetres transmit energy along the entire needle, which reduces invasiveness without bleeding. Clinical studies support improvements of up to 23% in skin thickness, 46% in fine wrinkles, 62% in spots and 59% in stretch marks, according to the company. Alberto Oré, head of the medical department at Indiba, warned that it is better to wait for the tan to fade or avoid sun exposure 48 hours before treatment to reduce the risk of pigmentation. Sessions last 15 to 30 minutes and four sessions are recommended at intervals of 3 to 4 weeks.
