Most video game publishers have shifted their release dates to avoid the impact expected from Grand Theft Auto 6's arrival on players' free time this autumn. However, the console launch of The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ Online, from creator Edmund McMillen, is scheduled for 19 November, exactly the same day as GTA 6's release.

This version adds a multiplayer layer to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, with online cooperative play for up to four players. It includes the complete roguelike and all of its expansions over the years. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2. The beta has been available on PC since 2024, though it has received mixed reception, with some players reporting performance issues and bugs.

This has been a productive year for McMillen, who also launched a new roguelike unrelated to Isaac called Mewgenics in February.
