Who we are

El Medio Oriente is a newsroom publishing news from Latin America, the Arab world and the Middle East, in Spanish and English.

Our regional reporting centres on Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico and Argentina. The health, beauty, football, science and technology sections are international, because their news is.

How our stories are made

We work from sourced material: news agencies, official sites, and reporting that can be checked. The source of each story is recorded in our editorial system, and we will give it on request.

We use AI tools at the drafting and translation stage. Those tools publish nothing. Every story enters a review queue and goes live only after an editor approves it individually; the approving editor's name appears as the story's author.

We do not publish stories without human review.
