Midfielder Imam Ashour posted an image of Al-Ahly's crest on social media accompanied by messages suggesting he will remain at the club, reaffirming his commitment to the team in the seasons ahead.

Al-Ahly rejected a formal offer from Turkish side Konyaspor for Ashour during the current summer transfer window. The Turkish club had submitted a proposal worth 4.5 million dollars, to be paid over three years, which was turned down by the Egyptian club's board.

Al-Ahly officially informed Konyaspor that Ashour is not available for sale in the present season, thus closing the possibility of the player moving to the Turkish club in this transfer window.
