Málaga CF has registered midfielder Pablo Martínez in LaLiga, although the club has not yet officially announced his signing. The reinforcement arrives after becoming a free agent from Levante upon contract expiry, joining the signings of Fernando Calero, Juan Cruz and Carlos Dotor.

Málaga sporting director Loren Juarros confirmed Martínez's imminent arrival on Wednesday to the media ahead of the Andalusian side's debut at the Metropolitano stadium against Atlético de Madrid. "Pablo is practically already tied up. There is a principle of agreement that will be finalised in the coming hours," said Juarros.

The executive also noted that the club is evaluating defensive options following injuries to Murillo and Calero. "We are looking at a few things to do something in that area," he added.

Martínez is a 28-year-old midfielder who played 27 matches in the top flight last season with Levante, scoring 1 goal and providing 5 assists. The player was captain of the Levante side for the last four seasons.
