The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) will host the eighth edition of the International University Book Fair of University Students and Professionals (FILUNI 2026), a meeting dedicated to academic publishing and knowledge dissemination in Iberoamerica. The event will take place from 25 to 30 August 2026 at the UNAM Convention and Exhibition Centre, located in University City.
The programme includes more than 350 activities over six days featuring editorial presentations, roundtables, tributes, readings, workshops, exhibitions, film screenings and concerts. Over 350 publishing houses will participate and more than 25,000 titles will be on offer. Opening hours will be 10:00 to 19:00 and entry is free.
The Universitat de València, an institution founded in Spain in 1499, will participate as guest of honour. Its presence will enable the exploration of topics such as Spanish Republican exile, historical memory, Valencian culture, university publishing and the cinematographic work of Luis García-Berlanga.
Notable participants include Angela Davis, who will deliver a keynote dialogue on abolition and feminism, alongside writers such as David Toscana, winner of the Alfaguara Novel Prize 2026. Rita Indiana, Gonzalo Celorio, Jaime Siles and Andrés Neuman will also participate, among others.
According to FILUNI's official website, the event will feature free access, inclusive conditions and an accessible environment. Activities will be directed at students, publishing sector professionals, researchers, academics, minors and the general public.
