Fitness wearable brand Whoop announced that its Advanced Labs feature will no longer require an additional subscription. All Whoop users can now access blood tests and health analysis through Advanced Labs. The tests, conducted by Quest Diagnostics, cost from around $150 each, but access is no longer conditional on an additional membership.
The analyses provide data on cardiovascular, metabolic, hormonal and inflammatory health for users of Whoop devices. The company also said it added the Galleri multi-cancer early detection test to its Advanced Labs portfolio.
The market for screenless fitness tracking devices has become more competitive in recent months, with the entry of Garmin and Google Fitbit. Whoop may be trying to maintain customer interest in its product line by making its health analyses more accessible to everyone.
