The CCL dollar is quoted at 1,577 pesos for purchase and 1,578.20 pesos for sale on Thursday, 20 August. Compared to the same day of the week before, the exchange rate shows a variation of 0%.

So far in August, the CCL dollar has accumulated a rise of 1% compared to the previous month. In comparison with the previous year, the increase is 21%, when the CCL was quoted at 1,305.90 pesos at this point in 2025.

The CCL dollar maintains a spread of 2% relative to the MEP dollar, which trades today at 1,520.10 pesos. The CCL dollar—or "contado con liquidación" (cash with settlement)—is one of the most widely used financial exchange rates in the country, along with the MEP. It is a tool that allows the exchange of pesos for dollars abroad, used by companies and investors to acquire foreign currency legally.

The mechanism consists of the purchase of a bond in pesos, such as AL30, or in dollars, AL30D, to sell it as a C-type security. Through these operations it is possible to transfer money to investment accounts in the United States. The CCL exchange rate operates during trading hours, until 16:30, Monday to Friday.

These operations are called "cable settlement operations" and are identified with a C added to the end of the security's trading code, which distinguishes them from those settled in pesos or dollars in accounts held in the local market.
