Coca-Cola began rolling out new packaging for its sugar-free version in late July and early August. During the transition, previous and new packaging will coexist at points of sale, according to the company.
Mexico is part of the deployment that started simultaneously in other markets in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Arnab Roy, global president of the Coca-Cola category, stated in a release that the refresh aims to bring greater clarity and consistency to the brand's presentation. "By building on the elements that people already know and value, we are creating a stronger foundation for growth while remaining unmistakably Coca-Cola," Roy said.
The Trademark Coca-Cola category, which includes the different versions of the beverage, represented 47% of the 33.8 billion commercial unit cases sold by the system during 2025. Mexico holds a relevant position within global operations: alongside China, Brazil and India, it accounted for 33% of worldwide volume outside the United States, according to The Coca-Cola Company's annual report.
Coca-Cola Zero Sugar achieved significant growth in 2025 with a worldwide volume increase of 14%, a trend that continued into 2026. The beverage grew 13% in the first quarter and 16% in the second, with increases across all regions where the company operates. Between April and June 2026, The Coca-Cola Company's global volume grew 5%, while its revenues increased 7%, according to second-quarter results.
