Following her historic opening concert at Coachella, Karol G presented her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour in Los Angeles, bringing Latin love to the global stage. The 35-year-old Colombian singer-songwriter offered an extended version of her festival performance during the first of three shows at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Friday night, keeping the audience on their feet throughout.
Karol G emerged from a three-storey stone cave structure located at the top of the stage, a tribute to the landscapes and prehistoric caves of her native Colombia, and opened the concert with "Latina Foreva", wearing a golden sequin outfit. "We are going to sing very loudly; we are going to do it with enthusiasm; we are going to have an incredible time; we are going to do it for Colombia," the artist said in Spanish as she addressed the audience at the start of the concert.
During the show, the singer highlighted the beauty and culture of her country with colourful stage designs and tropical landscapes. The album accompanying the tour, 2025's Tropicoqueta, refers to the concept of a tropical and flirtatious girl. During the performance, veteran actor Edward James Olmos, who starred in the 1997 film "Selena" based on the life of the iconic Texan artist whom Karol G has called her life idol, sent a video message saying: "Nights like this do not happen by chance. They are born from passion, from talent, from hard work and from that unmistakable spirit we call Latin excellence".
In the second act, Karol G presented several songs from her Tropicoqueta album that pay tribute to traditional Mexican regional music, including "Tropicoqueta" and "Ese Hombre Es Malo", and also featured a mariachi band. The artist also climbed aboard a giant, colourful macaw, a parrot native to the tropical regions of Central and South America.
Karol G then slowed the pace with songs from her recently released sixth studio album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, a shift towards an emotional and darker tone from the high-energy vibes of Tropicoqueta. During the first night, she featured Cigarettes After Sex vocalist Greg Gonzalez to perform her new song "Después de Ti". On Saturday night, the second evening, Bruno Mars made a surprise appearance to perform "Still", the new song he shares with Karol G, and even filmed the music video for the song.
The energy ramped back up when Karol G and her dancers headed to the illuminated stone pool on stage B. As she moved among the fans, she performed a series of her most popular songs, from "Amargura" to "Tu Perfume" and "Dile Luna". "Bandida entrenada" was one of the most lively and sensual moments of the night, when a drenched Karol G transformed into a water goddess, beginning to dance, roll and splash on stage alongside her talented dancers.
The love and gratitude Karol G has for her fans was shown in full before the final act, when she took several moments to interact with them. The singer took photos, shared hugs and sang alongside her admirers, expressing her gratitude to those who have supported her. In a touching moment that drew cheers from the crowd, Karol G made a heart shape with her hands while taking a selfie with a young fan whose eyes were filled with tears.
The singer closed the unforgettable show with some of her most popular hits, including "Coleccionando Heridas", "Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido" and finally Tiësto's remix of "Provenza", transforming the tropical cave into a rave-like party while waving Colombia's national flag. Karol G will head to San Francisco to continue her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour, before making several more stops in North America. She will subsequently travel to her dates in Latin America and Europe, concluding the tour in July 2027 in Milan, Italy.
