British media reported that a small aircraft crashed during an airshow at Stow Maries airfield in south-eastern England, a site belonging to a military museum.

According to The Sun newspaper, the accident occurred on Sunday afternoon at Stow Maries aerodrome, which belongs to a military museum.

The pilot suffered serious injuries and was transferred to a hospital in London, the newspaper reported. No injuries were reported among spectators at the airshow.

The site was closed and the airshow was cancelled following the incident. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch confirmed that it opened an investigation into the causes of the crash and announced that it will release preliminary results next week.
