A woman in the Netherlands discovered a snake in her bedroom closet that police later determined had escaped from her neighbour's home. Limburg Police reported on social media that the woman from Blerick called the authorities after seeing a snake sliding through clothes on her bedroom floor, and the reptile had made its way into a closet.
Police determined that the snake was a non-venomous reticulated python that had escaped from a terrarium in the neighbour's home. The neighbour was brought to the woman's house to retrieve the pet and take it back to his home.
"The owner will investigate how the snake managed to escape and will ensure it does not happen again," police said.
