Giza Governorate continues to respond to citizen complaints received through social media with swift action on field reports and observations, which helps improve services provided to residents and maintain the urban landscape throughout the governorate. Giza Governor Ahmed Al-Ansari oversaw the efforts of the governorate's bodies in addressing citizen complaints across districts, centres and cities.
In response to complaints from residents of Othman ibn Affan Street in Al-Masabek about water accumulation caused by a leak in a drinking water pipe, the Bashtil local unit coordinated with the drinking water and sewerage company to repair the leak, extract the accumulated water at the site and resolve the complaint.
After complaints from residents in Kafr Tahrmis about noise caused by unlicensed cafés in Al-Abbas market, Boulaq Al-Dakrour district carried out a large-scale campaign that resulted in the closure and sealing of two unlicensed cafés, as well as the confiscation of several structures that were stored in the district's depots. Legal procedures were initiated against those responsible for the violations.
Boulaq Al-Dakrour district also responded to complaints from residents of Ibrahim Nafe Street, known as Street 14 in the Al-Masaken area, about pipe barriers and metal chains in front of buildings. The barriers were removed and the street was reopened to citizen traffic.
In Manshiyat Al-Qanater centre and city, procedures continue to be implemented to improve the efficiency of the sewerage system in Abu Ghalib homes. Al-Agouza district also responded to complaints from residents of Al-Saftawi Street in Ard Al-Liwa about garbage and waste accumulation under the monorail columns, coordinating with the general cleaning and beautification authority to remove the waste and carry out sweeping and cleaning work at the site, thus improving the urban landscape and raising cleanliness levels in the area.
