Google will soon allow users to personalise their Discover section by describing what content they want to see. The new feature, which will be rolled out in the Google app "in the coming days", will use artificial intelligence to automatically adjust the section and "remember" the user's preferences on future visits.

Users will find the option in the three-dot menu of their Discover section. When activating the feature, a chatbot-style interface will open where they can describe their preferences. The chatbot will confirm the selected options and indicate which types of content it will prioritise.

Users will also have the option to provide additional information if the chatbot does not accurately capture their preferences. Google showed the new feature in a video shared with media outlets.
