Grand Central Bakery, based in Seattle, Washington, initiated on 12 August 2026 a recall of batches of potato sourdough bread due to the possible presence of metal fragments. The recall affects products sold in grocery stores, select restaurants, wholesalers and at four Grand Central Bakery Café locations in the Seattle and Tacoma metropolitan areas of Washington on 10 August 2026.
The affected products are ready-to-eat breads that were marketed both directly to customers at Grand Central Bakery cafés and to wholesalers, with the intention that consumers would eat them in their homes as presented. To date, no injuries or illnesses associated with this issue have been reported.
The recall was initiated after a nail was discovered in a loaf of Potato Sourdough Bread. Those who purchased these products on 10 August 2026 should discard them and contact Grand Central Bakery's Wholesale Support team at info@grandcentralbakery.com or through the contact page at https://www.grandcentralbakery.com/contact.
