Juventud de Torremolinos announced on Wednesday the departure of Aitor Martínez as coach, just weeks after his hiring to lead the club's new project.
Martínez is not the only one leaving, as David Cabello, who served as sporting director, also departs. The two exits force the Málaga-based club to quickly restructure its sporting setup with the upcoming season about to start.
The Málaga club appointed Raúl Albentosa as new sporting director. Albentosa has previous experience in the province following his time at Málaga in the mid-2010s.
The project had generated excitement in Málaga football, driven by signings such as Dioni and other acquisitions. The simultaneous departures of coach and sporting director now force Juventud de Torremolinos to rebuild much of its structure before competition begins.
