Trump-backed Republican Byron Donalds and Democrat David Jolly won their respective Florida gubernatorial primaries and are set to face each other in the general election. They will compete to succeed term-limited Governor Ron DeSantis.

In the Democratic Senate primary, political newcomer and democratic socialist Angie Nixon defeated establishment-backed Alex Vindman.
