The United States announced 18 sanctions against the president of the International Criminal Court and a Senegalese prosecutor, which take effect immediately.
The United States announced on Tuesday, 18 August, 18 sanctions against Tomoko Akane, president of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the Department of the Treasury stated that the sanctions take effect immediately.
The measures also apply to Senegalese lawyer Abdoulaye Seye, a member of the ICC Office of the Prosecutor, OFAC reported.
