Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc. announced on 18 August 2026 a voluntary recall of a limited number of Outshine fruit ice pops due to possible glass contamination. The affected products include the 6-count packages of 2.5 ounce Outshine Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine and Black Cherry flavours, as well as the Outshine 24-count variety pack of 2.5 ounce pops.
These batches were distributed to retailers nationwide. The company advised consumers to check specific lot codes on the bottom of the packaging to determine whether their products are included in the recall. The affected lot codes expire between 31 May 2027 and 30 November 2027.
Dreyer's stated that it is taking this measure as a precaution following consumer reports of glass found in the product. According to the company, no illnesses or injuries have been reported to date. Anyone concerned about a possible injury should contact a healthcare provider immediately.
Consumers who have purchased the affected product should dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Dreyer's emphasised that the safety, quality and integrity of its products remain its highest priority.
