Amar Belani, former Algerian ambassador to Brussels and Ankara, accused former Tunisian president Moncef Marzouki of serving Morocco's narrative on Algeria and the Maghreb. Belani rejected the Tunisian official's arguments with what he said was evidence.
Belani's criticism adds to previous accusations against Marzouki of acting as an agent for Morocco, previously launched by other Algerian officials such as Abdelaziz Rahabi. Belani reinforced these accusations by presenting what he characterised as evidence of the former president's position.
