Democrats intensified calls on Sunday for the Trump administration to address conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln as the aircraft carrier's deployment approached nine months, raising concerns about crew morale, mental health and living conditions.
Senator Ruben Gallego of Arizona said problems aboard the carrier had continued to mount. He attributed the prolonged deployment to the unresolved conflict that President Donald Trump initiated in February with Iran and cited insufficient leadership from the Republican administration.
