When celebrities reveal what fragrances they wear, the market doesn't just notice: it explodes. The global perfume industry is projected to reach nearly 88 billion dollars by 2033, driven largely by fans seeking prestigious bottles, niche finds and celebrity-approved selections that feel like a shortcut to star power.

TikTok has intensified the phenomenon, with #PerfumeTok accumulating billions of views and sending certain "celebrity-coded" scents off the shelves. While many celebrities have capitalised on their own fragrance lines, including Selena Gómez and Bella Hadid, it is their personal perfumes that generate intrigue.

Meghan Sussex rounds out her fragrance wardrobe with Jo Malone London Wild Bluebell Cologne. The Duchess has long been associated with fresh, airy florals, known for its blend of bluebell, lily of the valley and white musk.

Taylor Swift wears a fragrance with notes of sandalwood, cinnamon and ylang-ylang. According to previous reports, fans invited to Reputation secret sessions revealed that Swift uses this woody scent. Additionally, a scene from her 2020 Netflix documentary Miss Americana shows Swift backstage during the Reputation tour, surrounded by tour essentials and a bottle of Santal Blush eau de parfum.

Hailey Bieber has a signature perfume, Ex Nihilo's Fleur Narcotique. The star revealed to Bazaar UK that she "always comes back" to this luxurious floral blend of airy peony, lychee and jasmine notes, balanced by musk and oakmoss. In an interview with Scentbird, Bieber reiterated her love for the fragrance: "I've been using that scent for some years, and I always come back to that".

Rihanna has been a fan of Dior fragrances for years, first after being introduced to the brand's perfumes by her mother. "My first introduction to J'adore Dior was my mum. My mum used to sell perfume in a duty-free store," the star told Bazaar exclusively. "She would bring the testers home when they were almost empty and they had to put a new tester out. J'adore was one that was always there".

Beyoncé's fragrance wardrobe is as impressive as her stage presence, and at the top sits Angels' Share by Kilian Paris. The superstar is said to have even been spotted shopping at Harrods, drawn to its intoxicating blend of cognac, oak, cinnamon, tonka, vanilla and praline.

Singer Tyla doesn't hide her scent routine. In a Vogue UK video, she revealed that Byredo Mojave Ghost is the base she always layers. Think soft florals, sandalwood and a fresh, airy vibe very cool-girl in a bottle.

Rita Ora has a weakness for Chloé Atelier des Fleurs Magnolia Alba, the kind of fragrance that feels as easy as it is elegant. With its airy magnolia notes, it's the perfect complement to Rita's bold style. She mentioned it during Bazaar's "Inside My Beauty Bag" segment, calling it a "green and citrusy take on classic florals" that works as a distinctive everyday scent.

Issa Rae keeps her fragrance game classic. The producer, director and creator of Insecure mentioned to Vogue that her favourite is none other than Chanel No. 5, the iconic floral-aldehyde scent that has been a symbol of timeless elegance for over a century. Rae even joked: "I'm basic like that", proving that sometimes the most legendary perfume is all you really need.

Gracie Abrams keeps her scent selection simple yet sophisticated. The singer explained to The Strategist that she is hooked on Diptyque's Olène eau de toilette, saying: "I love the smell of jasmine, and Diptyque made it perfect with this". The fragrance leans into lush jasmine and wisteria, equal parts romantic and effortless.

If fragrance could whisper royalty, Kate Middleton would sound like Jo Malone's Orange Blossom. The Princess of Wales is said to adore this white citrus-floral scent so much that she requested candles infused with it to perfume Westminster Abbey at her 2011 wedding.

Leave it to Cardi B to turn a fragrance into a complete performance. Mugler Angel Nova is her latest favourite fragrance, which she incorporated into her music video "Imaginary Playerz" and TikToks. Cardi calls it her "sexy little secret", the kind of perfume that "oozes sensuality and gives the highest heel". She doesn't stop at just perfuming herself before a night out; she jokes that she would even wear it to bed, swearing it "makes a very good impression for a first date".

Charli XCX may embody the "brat girl" aesthetic, but her signature scent is anything but chaotic: it's Byredo Bibliothèque, and yes, she constantly carries a bottle on tour. In a British GQ video, the pop star shared that while she loves many Byredo scents, Bibliothèque is her steadfast favourite. She has even gone through it unapologetically, noting: "That's their problem, not mine. I think it smells really good".

Even supermodels have scent secrets. Gigi Hadid's makeup artist Erin Parsons revealed that the supermodel layers My Burberry Black with the now discontinued Haven, creating a fresh, floral, green skin scent anchored with a subtle spicy note.
