The University of Memphis in New Cairo announced the opening of admissions for the academic year 2026-2027 for students interested in pursuing studies at the institution. The announcement coincided with the disclosure of minimum entry scores by the Private Universities Council, as part of preparations to receive the second cohort of students under a modern educational model focused on quality of teaching, practical application and labour market needs.
The University of Memphis offers the faculties of Human Medicine, Engineering and Business Administration in the new academic year. For students from general secondary education and Al-Azhar schools, the minimum entry scores are: Human Medicine 81%, Engineering 67% and Business Administration 53%. For students with Arab and foreign certificates, the scores are: Human Medicine 85%, Engineering 70% and Business Administration 58%, in accordance with the standards established for the acceptance of equivalent qualifications.
The university also announced discounts of up to 50% on tuition fees for students in the faculties of Engineering and Business Administration. The institution, created by presidential decree in 2024, is located in the universities and institutes zone of New Cairo, spans over 80,000 square metres and will have capacity for approximately 7,800 students once completed. The campus was designed with modern architectural and engineering standards and features smart classrooms equipped with cutting-edge technology, advanced scientific laboratories and various sports facilities.
