Ecopetrol union backs President De La Espriella's energy plan

The USO union at Ecopetrol has backed President Abelardo De La Espriella's energy plan, which includes new blocks for hydrocarbon exploration and development of the Caribbean gas province.

The Unión Sindical Obrera USO, the Ecopetrol union, has backed President Abelardo De La Espriella's energy plan. The union stated that its commitment is to Colombia's energy sovereignty and self-sufficiency.

The government and USO agreed to promote new blocks for hydrocarbon exploration. Both parties proposed developing the Caribbean gas province as part of the national energy strategy.
