The US Open announced wildcard invitations for the men's and women's main draws of its 2026 edition. Venus Williams, currently ranked 621st in the WTA rankings, is among the wildcard winners for the tournament to be held from 25 August to 13 September in New York.

Williams, who has accumulated 14 consecutive losses in singles, had already received 12 wildcard invitations so far this season. In the women's draw, Sloane Stephens also stood out in receiving a wildcard invitation, having won the US Open in 2017.

In the men's draw, Frenchman Gaël Monfils topped the list of wildcard winners. Monfils, who announced earlier in the year that the 2026 season will be his last as a professional, will compete at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in what will be his farewell to New York.

Japanese player Kei Nishikori also received an invitation, though for the qualifying phase of the tournament, in what will be his final US Open.
