Businesspeople in the country completed a fundraising campaign of 202 billion pesos to assist those affected by the earthquake that struck Colombia, according to information from Andi. The collection was carried out within a 48-hour period.

Bruce Mac Master, president of Andi and promoter of the initiative, highlighted the speed of the private sector's response to the emergency.

The areas affected by the earthquake require reconstruction that is rapid but not improvised, said the promoters of the fundraising campaign.
