Singer Shakira visited Chocó and announced new projects to restore educational infrastructure damaged by the 7.4 magnitude earthquake on 10 August.

Colombian singer Shakira visited Chocó, the area affected by the 7.4 magnitude earthquake on 10 August, to announce new educational reconstruction projects in the department.

The artist committed to supporting the reconstruction of the Technological University of Chocó. Together with American philanthropist Howard Buffett, Shakira will drive the construction of ten schools in the region.

Global Citizen and Live Nation will contribute one million dollars to rebuild schools affected by the earthquake.
